ALEXANDRIA, Va.—As convenience retailers add more fresh and high-quality ingredients to their foodservice menus, the risks around safe food handling increases.
NACS plans to hold a free webinar on how convenience stores can reenergize food safety procedures. The discussion will go back to the basics of a strong food safety foundation and talk about how retailers can take their foodservice programs to the next level by ensuring safe food handling.
"Reenergizing Food Safety" will feature two renowned food safety experts—Dr. Lone Jespersen, founder of Cultivate and food safety culture expert, and Ashley Prion, vice president and general manager within the Institutional segment of Ecolab—as they discuss how some behaviors taking place inside convenience stores can lead to a foodborne outbreak.
Originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 24, the webinar has been postponed until after the 2022 NACS Show in Las Vegas. Stay tuned to NACS Daily for more details.
Meanwhile, don’t miss the first NACS Food Safety Conference, taking place October 1 at the NACS Show. The conference will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the agenda is packed with food safety professionals and academia who are experts in their field.
