QuickChek Named 'Best Company to Work For'

The New Jersey-based convenience store chain has 11 New York locations with more on the way.

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. - QuickChek Corporation has been selected as one of the Best Places to Work in New York State for 2013, the company announced earlier this week. The family-owned and operated convenience store retailer has 11 locations in New York??s Hudson Valley with plans to expand into other regions, including Long Island.

The recognition comes courtesy of the New York State Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and Best Companies Group, an independent company managing Best Places to Work programs around the country. Whitehouse Station, NJ-based QuickChek was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey for the third consecutive year by NJBIZ magazine.

Companies from across New York participated in a process to identify, recognize and honor the Best Places to Work for in New York State. Processes included an evaluation of each nominated company??s workplace practices and policies and employee surveys to measure satisfaction and engagement. Best Companies Group evaluated and ranked the nominated companies.

QuickChek operates 133 retail locations throughout New Jersey and Southern New York and employs more than 3,400 people. The company opened its first Empire State location in Florida, NY, in 2007. A new store in Goshen is scheduled to open in March.

QuickChek will be formally recognized at an awards dinner recognizing the 2013 Best Companies to Work for in New York State on April 30, 2013, at the Albany Marriott.
