United Refining Company of Pennsylvania (URC), which operates Kwik Fill/Red Apple Food Marts, raised $417,193 through its “Operation Give Thanks” fundraising campaign conducted during November 2025. Raised through customers’ direct donations, merchandise sales, vendor partner donations and a portion of fuel sales, the funds will aid active-duty service members, veterans and their families, the retailer said in a press release.
The company said the total will be distributed to Operation Homefront (a nonprofit that commits to allocating resources to recipients in the Kwik Fill market area), Special Forces Trust (providing meaningful and sustainable support to the Army Green Berets and their families) and Allegheny Valley Veterans Center (providing supportive housing for homeless veterans in northwestern Pennsylvania).
Since the program's inception in 2022, the company said “Operation Give Thanks” has raised over $1,000,000 in total funds to support military and veteran communities.
“This milestone reflects the ongoing generosity of our customers, vendor partners and employees who continue to demonstrate unwavering support for those who have served. Kwik Fill thanks all supporters of the military and veteran community in Kwik Fill country who participated in ‘Operation Give Thanks,’” Kwik Fill said.
In other recent Kwik Fill news, the retailer partnered with the Buffalo Bills in October 2025. Customers could enter to win weekly prizes including Bills gear or a $100 Kwik Fill gift card, and a grand prize of four tickets to a Bills game and a $250 gift card to Kwik Fill.
“The partnership is designed to deliver not only game-day energy but also year-round community impact. From tailgates to road trips, Kwik Fill has been fueling Bills fans for generations, and now the connection is official,” the company said.
