Cary Oil and Upside have expanded their partnership, adding an additional 110 dealer locations to the Upside platform. This 50% increase brings the total number of participating Cary Oil sites to more than 300 nationwide,” per a press release.
Cary Oil said as it expands into Indiana and the Midwest, the company is leveraging Upside to “help its independent dealer network stay competitive and profitable in an increasingly crowded fuel landscape.”
“Cary Oil is in growth mode, and Upside has been a key partner in helping us scale effectively,” said Ashley Pace, marketing manager at Cary Oil. “Their platform delivers proven results—bringing nearly 60,000 customer visits to our participating dealer locations in just the last six months and driving measurable revenue growth across the board.”
Recent data from Upside shows that 60% of new fuel customers don’t return after their first month unless given a reason to. Upside said its personalized promotions are designed to engage those uncommitted customers and drive repeat visits.
“To date, Upside has returned over $900 million in cash back to users and driven more than $2.2 billion in incremental profit to merchants,” it said.
In June, Cary Oil Co. Inc., and its affiliates of its Breeze Thru Markets convenience retail business, sold its stores to Sampson-Bladen Oil Co. Inc.
“Following the divestment of its chain of 15 Breeze Thru branded convenience stores, Cary will continue to operate its extensive wholesale fuels distribution business that supplies approximately 1,000 dealers across 20+ states and delivers almost 1 billion gallons of fuel annually,” the retailer said.
