Chick-fil-A is rolling out a new limited-time menu on August 18, featuring a new beverage line up, its classic chicken sandwich with a twist and two new waffle potato chip varieties, the chain said in a press release.

First introduced last year, the QSR is bringing back the cherry berry drink for its second year, and will also launch the cherry berry and Sprite option, Chick-fil-A's “first-ever seasonal soda.” The lineup includes:

  • Cherry berry and Sprite: A sparkling mix of Sprite with cherry, blueberry and cranberry flavors.
  • Cherry berry lemonade: Chick-fil-A lemonade with a sweet, fruity remix featuring cherry, blueberry and cranberry flavors.
  • Cherry berry frosted lemonade: A blend of Icedream dessert and Chick-fil-A lemonade mixed with cherry, blueberry and cranberry flavors.
  • Cherry berry Sunjoy: A blend of sweetened iced tea and lemonade mixed with cherry, blueberry and cranberry flavors.

Following a test run last spring, Chick-fil-A will launch the pretzel cheddar club sandwich nationwide. The sandwich features a toasted pretzel bun, lettuce, sliced tomato, cheddar cheese, strips of applewood smoked bacon and a side of Dijon mustard sauce. Guests can also choose original, spicy or grilled chicken filets.

The QSR is also rolling out new chips that will be available as a permanent side item, with an original waffle potato chip and a Chick-fil-A sauce flavor option.

Over at KFC, potato wedges and hot and spicy wings will return to the menu August 18. “When KFC fired up a surprise drop of wedges in the Tampa, Florida, market, local fans were elated, leading to an early sellout in some restaurants,” the retailer said in a press release.

The hot and spicy wings, which feature a spicy marinade with double hand-breading in KFC's signature Extra Crispy flour, will return to the menu after two years.

On the sweet side, Krispy Kreme began offering its pumpkin spice season menu on Monday, August 11, including the original glazed pumpkin spice doughnut, original glazed pumpkin spice cake doughnut, pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin spice coffee.

The pumpkin menu will be available throughout the fall, except for the original glazed pumpkin spice doughnut, which will be available only until August 17.

As other QSRs lean into fall, Dunkin’ recently launched another round of summer-inspired beverages.

“Leading the drop is the golden hour refresher, a tropical combination of mango pineapple and strawberry dragon fruit flavors mixed with sweet and tart lemonade. Alongside it is the new blueberry breeze refresher, a crisp, blueberry flavored sip inspired by breezy coastal vibes,” Dunkin’ said in a press release.

The retailer also is offering customers the chance to customize their drinks with the “new mixology builds featured in the Dunkin’ app, offering customizable combinations.”
