Little Debbie Sweetens Valentine's Day

The McKee Foods brand introduces new treats and packaging for the holiday.

As the Valentine season draws near, McKee Foods, maker of the Little Debbie brand, revealed two additions to its Valentine's Day lineup: Little Debbie Vanilla Mini Donuts and Big Pack Valentine Cakes—Vanilla. The company also updated the packaging for a fresh, more modern look. 

"We are thrilled to introduce our new Vanilla Mini Donuts and Big Pack Valentine Cakes—Vanilla to our cherished Little Debbie family," said Erica Cunningham, Little Debbie product manager at McKee Foods. "These additions underscore our commitment to providing a diverse range of treats that cater to the varied preferences of our customers.”

Little Debbie Vanilla Mini Donuts

The bite-sized Vanilla Mini Donuts are a new addition to the Valentine's Day lineup. Coated in light pink frosting with a white icing pattern, these miniature treats offer vanilla flavor in every bite.

Little Debbie BP Valentine Cakes—Vanilla

Big Pack Valentine Cakes—Vanilla are heart-shaped, individually-wrapped and topped with light pink frosting and a white icing stripe pattern. Each carton contains six big snack cakes.

In addition to announcing new treats, Little Debbie unveiled fresh packaging graphics across its Valentine’s Day lineup. The new designs showcase “a modern and heartwarming aesthetic.” The new look includes light teal backgrounds and playful pink paper cutout hearts.

“Whether you’re a fan of bite-sized indulgences or classic vanilla goodness, each new item ensures there’s something for everyone to enjoy this Valentine’s season,” said Cunningham.

The company noted that “the new Little Debbie Vanilla Mini Donuts and Big Pack Valentine Cakes—Vanilla will be available at leading retailers and convenience stores nationwide.”

In 2022, packaged sweet snacks sales rose 18.9% compared with 2021, according to the NACS State of the Industry Report of 2022 Data.
