The United States, and countries around the world, are facing persistent labor shortages—limiting businesses both large and small and spanning all industries. There are two big questions regarding the shortages: What’s driving them, and what can be done to address them?
As the United States observes Labor Day, the Population Reference Bureau (PRB), the Critical Labor Coalition (CLC) and special guest former U.S. Secretary of Labor R. Alexander Acosta are hosting a webinar to discuss the latest data behind the shrinking workforce and explore potential policy solutions. The webinar will be held Thursday, September 5, from 12-1 p.m. EDT.
The webinar will include new data on United States and international labor participation, an update on CLC’s legislative efforts and a presentation from Acosta, who will be open to answer questions at the end of the presentation, along with other speakers.
The CLC, of which NACS is a member, is a 501c(4) formed to address the nation’s labor shortage and includes membership across trade associations, employers and individual business owners. Its work focuses on three areas: legislation, education and outreach.
