From National First Responders Day, October 28, through Veterans Day on November 11, both Cenex Zip Trip and Anheuser-Busch will contribute $1 to Folds of Honor for every case of Budweiser and Bud Light purchased at any Cenex Zip Trip location. Customers will also be able to donate at the register.

The funds will go to the nonprofit organization Folds of Honor, which provides educational scholarships for children and spouses of fallen and disabled American military service members and first responders. The organization recently expanded this scholarship program to include the families of first responders, including paramedics, EMTs, police and firefighters.

“We are grateful for this opportunity to partner with Anheuser-Busch and to support Folds of Honor and its mission to help so many deserving families in their efforts to pursue their academic dreams,” said Steve Haase, Cenex Zip Trip senior director of operations.

Over the last 13 years, Folds of Honor founding partner Anheuser-Busch, its brands and wholesaler partners have donated $21.7 million, which has contributed to Folds of Honor’s delivery of more than 51,000 scholarships since the nonprofit’s founding.

In honor of the frontline heroes working daily in the local communities, 30,000 convenience stores across the country united to celebrate 24/7 day this past July 24. Hosted by the NACS Foundation, 24/7 Day commemorated its fifth consecutive year of raising awareness and donations for the American Red Cross.

This year, Anheuser-Busch joined the event as a key supplier partner. “Showing up for our communities and first responders has long been part of Anheuser-Busch’s legacy,” said Ramona Giderof, vice president of convenience and military at Anheuser-Busch. “We are grateful to participate in this year’s NACS Foundation 24/7 Day to honor those on the frontlines and work with our convenience store partners to shine a light on their service.”

From July 1 through August 31, Anheuser-Busch donated a portion of every Budweiser and Bud Light case sold to Folds of Honor, which has partnered with the company for more than a dozen years.

The NACS Foundation welcomes more retailers to join 24/7 Day in 2024. “The wider the reach we can have across our industry, the more people will hear our message of how important convenience stores are to their communities,” said Stephanie Sikorski, NACS vice president of marketing and director of the NACS Foundation.
