Weigel’s is taking “employee engagement to the next level” by expanding its partnership with goHappy, a frontline employee engagement tool. “This investment underscores Weigel’s commitment to fostering a connected and engaged workforce while improving operational efficiency and retention rates,” according to a press release sent to NACS.
Weigel’s previously worked with goHappy in 2024, and said it continues to unlock advanced tools like employee engagement surveys, turnover analytics and other features that provide actionable insights to help boost employee engagement and reduce turnover.
Additionally, Weigel’s said it is expanding its employee onboarding process with personalized, automated text messages designed to provide new hires with a seamless start. “A new Week 1 survey introduces a personal touch by asking new employees about their favorite candy bar—a small but meaningful gesture that managers bring to life with a sweet treat on their second day,” the company said.
Brad Anderson, director of recruiting and development at Weigel’s, said, “At Weigel’s, we know that engaged employees are the foundation of outstanding customer service. Enhancing our engagement tools with goHappy allows us to strengthen our connection with our frontline team while fostering a workplace where employees feel valued and supported from their very first day.”
Weigel’s is “building a culture of trust, inclusivity and connection—empowering every employee to stay informed and feel heard. This commitment not only enhances operational efficiency but underscores Weigel's dedication to being a company that truly values its people.
Earlier this month, Weigel’s dedicated an entire week to celebrate the team members who make Weigel’s a trusted part of its communities. From March 3 through March 9, the retailer showed gratitude with a week-long celebration filled with giveaways, exclusive perks and well-earned recognition for employees.
