Starbucks recently told customers that the so called “secret menu” is official. “Starbucks Rewards members can find the top Starbucks drink customizations in the Starbucks app. From twists on fan favorites to customer creations, the secret menu, which can be found in the ‘offers’ tab of the app, will regularly feature new drink customizations,” the retailer said in a press release.

Meanwhile, the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte will hit menus in the U.S. on August 26, reported the Associated Press. Starbucks sold the Pumpkin Spice Latte in 79 markets in 2024, according to AP. At the time, the company had stores in 85 markets around the world. It now operates in 88 markets.

AP also wrote that foot traffic rose 24% at U.S. Starbucks last year on the day the Pumpkin Spice Latte went on sale. The amount of foot traffic rose 45.5% at Starbucks stores in North Dakota on launch day in 2024, the most of any state, while foot traffic in Mississippi rose the least at 4.8%.

Over at Burger King, the QSR brought back its Frozen Cotton Candy beverage, reported QSR Magazine.

“Originally launched in April 2024, the beverage features a bold blend of blue raspberry and cotton candy flavors, and quickly became one of the brand’s most successful frozen drink offerings in recent years. Guests can once again enhance their beverage experience with the optional cold foam cloud topping—a light, fluffy finish that adds a sweet final touch,” the outlet wrote.

Also at Burger King this summer, the all-new “Whopper by You” platform allows customers to create menu items. “The platform kicks off with the BBQ Brisket Whopper, a smoky, savory twist on the flame-grilled classic, inspired by what Whopper fanatics across the country have been asking for,” the company said in a press release.

The BBQ Brisket Whopper features BBQ brisket, onions, American cheese and a sweet & golden BBQ sauce, on a flame-grilled beef patty with lettuce, tomato and mayo.

McDonald’s rolled out Spicy McMuffin breakfast sandwiches, available at participating restaurants nationwide.

“This limited-time glow-up includes everything you already love about the iconic Egg McMuffin—melty cheese, a freshly cracked egg, Canadian bacon and a perfectly toasted and buttered English Muffin—plus a fiery, delicious twist: a shot of McDonald’s signature Spicy Pepper Sauce. Fans can also enjoy the Spicy Sausage McMuffin and the Spicy Sausage McMuffin with Egg,” McDonald’s said in a press release.
