GSTV Announces Retail Media Partnership with Invenco By GVR

The launch will take place at the 2024 NACS Show in Las Vegas.

Invenco by GVR and GSTV are launching Engage Media Full-Service, which the companies said is a custom “retail media product and service offering for mobility and convenience retailers.” The service will debut at the 2024 NACS Show in Las Vegas, October 7-10.

Engage Media Full-Service is “a turnkey solution to create a customized and branded media experience to help drive sales and customer loyalty,” Dan Trotzer, EVP, industry, GSTV told NACS Daily. “Retail media has been on the rise … We see numerous retailers leaning into their distinct advantages and innovating in what has arguably become one of the fastest rising ad sectors. With many major grocery and big box retailers recently announcing expansions and evolutions of their retail media networks, this major opportunity also extends to fuel and convenience retailers.”

“GSTV is focused on how we can help fuel and convenience retailers of any size capitalize on the opportunity that their forecourt media can provide,” Trotzer continued. “With the Engage Media Full-Service solution, we provide an easy and flexible solution for fuel retailers who want to get into the rapidly emerging space that is retail media, but do not have the time or resources to do so.”

According to the press release, Engage Media Full-Service features include:

  • A white-labeled video broadcast displayed on forecourt screens, customizable to seamlessly align with and extend a retailer's brand. This includes dedicated time in a retailer’s broadcast to tailor messaging options such as brand ads, proprietary services, loyalty or promotions.
  • Premium family-friendly content built to capture customer attention and consistently drive in-store traffic.
  • A dedicated account manager to oversee the complex media management process end-to-end.
  • Access to a best-in-class media sales team to facilitate national brand ads.
  • Access to marketing and creative services through GSTV’s in-house video production team.

A recent study with Lumen Research found that 95% of consumers watch and listen to ads played on GSTV, the company said.

“We know retailers wear many hats while running their business, and they may not have the time to create a weekly content experience. With Engage Media Full-Service, retailers will be supported by Invenco’s retail technology and GSTV’s end-to-end suite of services including ad sales, our creative studio and our operations team which can help with scheduling, reporting and technical assistance,” Trotzer said.

In addition to custom content, advertising and promotional content will play alongside a show of content partners produced and curated by GSTV. The media engages customers without retailers having to curate and produce a new show every single week, according to GSTV.

“C-store retailers collectively generated $327.6 billion of total inside sales in 2023 (according to NACS State of the Industry Report of 2023 Data) and 40% of consumers say that the promotions they watch at the pump entice them to shop. … Engage Media Full-Service is built to help fully optimize this potential through a content and media experience that builds brand familiarity, consumer loyalty, directs traffic in-store and grows basket size,” said Trotzer.
