Stinker Stores is partnering with NCR Voyix to use the provider’s Commerce Platform, which will update its point-of-sale system for a “fully virtualized and modern store environment.”
According to NCR Voyix, the changes will allow Stinker Stores to market ongoing pricing promotions with comprehensive reporting, run the latest software on its existing hardware to achieve 60% POS hardware cost savings and 80% savings on back-office technology, remove single points of failure and install dual-edge servers for software updates. The company also said that rollback has delivered maximum uptime at the pump and in the store and is forecast to reduce support tickets by 50%.
"Making changes to the current POS and back-office store systems can be incredibly complex, time-consuming and expensive. With the NCR Voyix Commerce Platform via Edge, Stinker bridges the gap between digital channels and physical stores, streamlining technology and elevating store performance and customer experience," said Eric Schoch, executive vice president and president of retail, NCR Voyix. "Today, Stinker is well positioned in a competitive convenience store landscape to drive future growth."
The partnership will also enable Stinker to stage a pre-configured virtualized server, making store rollout 70% faster and only taking a few weeks for integration within the software stack. Stinker recently launched a new mobile app with loyalty points and integrated Punchh and Rovertown, with future plans to add Grubhub and DoorDash for delivery.
Earlier this year, Stinker opened a new store in Nampa, Idaho.
