Mirabito Convenience Stores raised $75,000 for the American Cancer Society through a round-up campaign held in October. The funds were raised through customer round up donations and a corporate contribution from Mirabito Cares.

The company said the proceeds will support “local patients and families through vital American Cancer Society programs, including nights at Hope Lodge during treatment and recovery, rides to medical appointments and access to trained cancer information specialists who provide 24/7 guidance and support.”

“We’ve all been impacted by cancer in one way or another, and the work that the American Cancer Society does is truly irreplaceable,” said Marissa Sweeney, senior director of marketing at Mirabito Holdings Inc. “This round up campaign is especially aligned with our mission of supporting medical research and community outreach as the dollars raised stay right here in our local communities to help our neighbors and friends who are battling cancer. We’re incredibly proud to continue this partnership and grateful to our customers and employees who made this possible.”

This December, Mirabito will sponsor the Coaches vs. Cancer Basketball Tournament for the second year to raise funds and awareness in the fight against cancer.

Meanwhile, TigerWash is hosting Nonprofit November this month and is donating a portion of each car wash to local causes, reported CBS 19 News in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Every Friday, the company will partner with a different local organization, including the local SPCA, Meals on Wheels and Bennett’s Village.

“We are getting a percentage of the proceeds for every car wash, which is a huge boost to the SPCA, especially as we go into the end of the year. It’s always such a crucial time for fundraising,” said Sara Stone, CASPCA director of philanthropy, in the article. “Tiger Wash and Tiger Fuel being involved with all of these nonprofits locally is pivotal. Having their stamp of approval, their trust, their partnership—it expands our reach.”
