Krispy Kreme launched its limited-time holiday lineup, including the ‘Merry Grinchmas Doughnut Collection,’ with three new doughnuts based on a character from the Christmas classic ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ by Dr. Seuss. The QSR is also bringing back two returning holiday doughnuts—the Santa Belly Doughnut and the Holiday Sprinkle Doughnut—according to a press release from Krispy Kreme.

The new Grinch-themed doughnuts include:

  • Grinch Doughnut: “an unglazed doughnut filled with ‘coal’ Cookies & Kreme filling, dipped in Grinch green icing with a chocolate icing smirky grin and buttercream hair.”
  • Grinchy Claus Doughnut: “an original glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, topped with white buttercreme, Christmas crispies and Grinch piece.”
  • Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree Doughnut: “an original glazed doughnut dipped in strawberry flavored icing with a green buttercreme tree, festively sprinkled and topped with a star piece.”

Dunkin’ recently launched its new holiday sugar cookie. The cookie is “crafted to look like a classic Strawberry Frosted Sprinkle Donut, featuring a buttery cookie base and topped with sweet, pink frosting and rainbow sprinkles,” according to Dunkin’s press release.

KFC is getting in the spirit with holiday packaging and the launch of new meal deals. “This year, the fried chicken chain is releasing its most colorful and whimsical holiday bucket yet, featuring a ‘Buckets of Joy’ design by Yeye Weller, the popular illustrator duo, plus matching streetwear-inspired holiday merch,” KFC said in a press release.

It is also offering the KFC Festive Feast Deal for $25.99, including six pieces of fried chicken, six of KFC's new Original Recipe Tenders plus three sauces and two large homestyle sides of choice.

Other QSRs such as Chick-fil-A and Starbucks have also recently released holiday-themed menu items as well.
