ALEXANDRIA, Va. – On this week’s episode of Convenience Matters, Autonomous Cars, Holograms, Big Brother and Hackers (Episode #107), NACS hosts Jeff Lenard and Carolyn Schnare were joined by Donovan Woods, Fuels Institute director of operations and Chris Blasinsky, NACS director of editorial projects, to talk about the CES, the Consumer Electronics Show.

CES serves as the world's gathering place and proving ground for innovation and next-generation technologies, including the fuel and auto industries. As new fuels and vehicles become more reliant on constantly evolving technology, CES was a great learning experience, according to Woods.

As he details on the podcast, he found the most applicable technologies for the convenience and fuel retailing industry were advancements in electronic and autonomous vehicles, as well as technologies that interface with home automation. Woods also explains that data security was top of mind during the event and a question fielded by presenters during the education sessions.

Listen to find out more on the technologies and innovations found at CES and how they could apply to our industry and advance new ideas.
