Energy Star Treasure Map for Convenience Stores

With utilities as one of the highest operating expenses in the convenience retail industry, NACS has partnered with Energy Star to bring a variety of convenience-store-specific resources to retailers that are designed to help save money and energy. Energy Star is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) voluntary program.

In 2019, NACS and Energy Star released a “Treasure Hunt for Convenience Stores” to help retailers and their teams discover energy savings in a collaborative effort that can reduce a facility’s energy usage by up to 15%. After completing the Treasure Hunt, EPA invites retailers to submit a summary of their findings.
