NACS partnered with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Blue Campaign in 2017 to help combat human trafficking. The partnership provides convenience retailers access to free training and awareness materials that help store associates identify instances of human trafficking.
Among the deliverables available to NACS members, NACS and the Blue Campaign co-produced the Human Trafficking Awareness Guide for Convenience Retail Employees to help educate frontline convenience store employees about human trafficking and the indicators for recognizing a potential trafficking victim.
Blue Campaign resources include a collection of free materials, training and videos.
