NACS Membership Benefits and Renewal Cycles
Membership operations and rates are determined by the NACS Retail Board of Directors. For more information please visit Article 2 of the NACS constitution and bylaws. In summary,
-
Access to NACS member benefits become available immediately when both 1) Application is approved, and 2) Dues have been paid. NACS member benefits are available to all contacts affiliated with the member company in good standing.
-
NACS membership cycles are based on the calendar year and run January to December.
-
Renewal notices for the next year will be sent prior to December 31st of the current year and all memberships not renewed by December 31st will be considered expired.
-
A 90-day grace period is offered to ensure access to member benefits remain available while renewal forms are processed. At the end of 90 days, on March 31st, all expired memberships will be terminated, removing access to all benefits for all contacts associated with the terminated membership.
-
Rejoining after your membership has been terminated does not require a new application approval. Memberships will be reinstated immediately upon payment of dues.
-
Companies who join for the first time or after an extended period of non-membership will expire on December 31st of the join year. However, access to member benefits will not terminate for non-payment after the 90-day grace period (March 31st) and will be in good standing for 12 months after their join date.
-
Companies who join for the first time or after an extended period of non-membership will be offered a proration off their first renewal dues payment equal to the number of months they were not members the year they joined. With the redemption of the prorated dues payment, the member will then be moved to the calendar year cycle – expiring on December 31st and terminating for non-payment on March 31st.
-
Companies who join or renew in in October, November, or December will be in good standing until December 31st of the following year.
