Break Time Opens 20th Chester’s Chicken Location

Meanwhile, Love’s, Refuel, Parker’s Kitchen and more also recently opened new stores.

Chester’s Chicken has opened its 20th location with MFA Oil Company’s Break Time convenience store chain, Chester’s said in a press release sent to NACS. The new location is inside the Break Time at 615 N. Main St. in Piedmont, Missouri.

Customers will have access to Chester’s menu, including “fresh, double-breaded fried chicken, bone-in wings and other guest favorites. The menu will also feature rotating promotions, such as the Nashville Hot flavor, now available at participating locations,” Chester’s said.

The companies said there is already a plan to open a 21st Chester’s with Break Time in the coming months.

Meanwhile at Love’s, the retailer is expanding its footprint in Illinois with the opening of a new travel stop in Rock Falls. The retailer said the new travel stop has 85 truck parking spaces. So far in 2026, Love’s has added 1,076 truck parking spaces across the country.

In honor of the grand opening in Rock Falls, Love’s will donate $5,000 to the Sauk Valley Foodbank and $5,000 to Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Love’s also recently celebrated the remodels of its store in Southeast Oklahoma City and four locations on the Kansas Turnpike, including locations in Belle Plaine, El Dorado (Towanda), Cassoday (Matfield Green) and Topeka as part of its Road Ahead Plan.

In North Carolina, Refuel opened its first store in Wilmington. “This new store brings quality fuel, fresh food, hot coffee and everyday convenience favorites to the local community.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our grand opening celebration last weekend, including our team members, vendor partners and neighbors throughout Wilmington,” Refuel said in a LinkedIn post.

Parker’s Kitchen opened its seventh store of 2026 earlier this month.

“We officially opened our first Parker's Kitchen in Little River, South Carolina! We are excited to welcome an incredible team and a beautiful new store to our growing family throughout the City of Myrtle Beach area. Visit us at 1381 Highway 17 in the ‘oldest town in Horry County,’ just 10 minutes from the North Carolina border,” a Parker’s employee posted on LinkedIn.

ExtraMile Convenience Stores recently opened new locations in Challis, Idaho, and Birmingham, Alabama. The Alabama location brings ExtraMile’s new store count in Alabama to five so far in 2026, according to a LinkedIn post.

ExtraMile opened its 1,200th location earlier this month in Tempe, Arizona.

In New York, Stewart’s Shops opened a new shop in Norwich. Stewart’s said the new 4,500-square-foot shop represents a $3.3 million investment in the community. “Besides an expanded grocery line and new sandwich station, the Norwich shop also introduced a coffee bar,” the retailer said.

To celebrate the opening of the new shop, Stewart’s donated $2,000 to the Norwich YMCA to support its summer camp.
