ExtraMile Convenience Stores recently opened its 40th store of 2026, a spokesperson for the company told NACS.

“ExtraMile's continued expansion in the southeast has helped open over 40 stores in 2026. The distinction of the 40th store goes to Cartersville, Georgia, and is joined by the 41st opening in nearby Duluth. Alabama also celebrated a recent opening with a new store in Hoover. Lastly, we hop across the nation to celebrate the opening of a new store in Riverside, California,” the spokesperson said.

In July, ExtraMile celebrated the opening of its 1,200th store for the company, located in Tempe, Arizona.

RaceTrac recently opened its new travel center in Cumming, Georgia, located off GA 400.

“The addition of our Settingdown store has expanded our professional driver network to 131 locations and counting. Drivers can enjoy commercial truck lanes with high-flow diesel and DEF at the pump, a clean 24/7 facility, truck-friendly convenience-store items and delicious food and beverage choices,” the retailer said.

In Maryland, Royal Farms will hold a grand opening for its newest location in Baltimore on August 24, 2026.

Located at 7911 Eastern Ave., Baltimore, the store will be open 24/7 and features 14 fuel dispensers.

In other recent store opening news, in July Chester’s Chicken opened its 20th location with MFA Oil Company’s Break Time convenience store chain, Chester’s said in a press release sent to NACS. The new location is inside the Break Time at 615 N. Main St. in Piedmont, Missouri.

Customers will have access to Chester’s menu, including “fresh, double-breaded fried chicken, bone-in wings and other guest favorites. The menu will also feature rotating promotions, such as the Nashville Hot flavor, now available at participating locations,” Chester’s said.

The companies said there is already a plan to open a 21st Chester’s with Break Time in the coming months.
