Weigel’s Celebrates 95th Anniversary With Summer Campaign

The campaign will offer a variety of deals and prizes throughout the season.

Weigel’s is gearing up for its 95th anniversary with a summer campaign “built around a simple idea: deliver consistent value while creating meaningful, everyday engagement for guests across East Tennessee,” the retailer said. “After nearly a century rooted in the region, Weigel’s enters this celebration with a clear message: Just Getting Started.”

Weigel’s said instead of focusing on one-time promotions, it has structured the summer around repeatable value through 95-cent dispensed beverage offers, fuel savings days, CPG discounts and bundled W Value Meals throughout the season.

MyWeigel’s Rewards is introducing 95 days of streak-based engagement, interactive trivia, spin-to-win experiences, digital scratch games and location-based check-ins, “all designed to create daily reasons for guests to engage with the brand both digitally and in store,” Weigel’s said.

The retailer said a major component of the campaign is its extended sweepstakes lineup, “which pairs everyday participation with high-impact prizes across the season.” Guests can engage through purchases, app activity and loyalty participation for chances to win a Can-Am Maverick, Sea-Doo watercraft, Free Milk for a Year and a 1 Million Bonus Points grand prize.

“Summer 95 is a reflection of where convenience retail is headed,” said Jessica Starnes, director of loyalty at Weigel’s. “Guests expect more than transactions, they expect value, interaction and personalization. This campaign shows how Weigel’s is using loyalty and digital engagement to meet those expectations while staying true to who we are as a brand.”

Earlier this year, the retailer launched its redesigned app. The retailer said the new MyWeigel’s Rewards App delivers “a faster, more intuitive experience built around how guests actually shop, earn and save. The updated app reflects Weigel’s continued investment in loyalty, digital convenience and creating meaningful value at every visit.”
