Oklahoma-based OnCue was named the #1 Best Gas Station Food in Reviewed 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS.

Reviewed evaluated gas station and convenience store food options across the country before inviting readers to vote for their favorites. Of the 10 finalists, readers selected OnCue as the best gas station and convenience store food stop of 2026,” it said.

Readers highlighted the quality, speed and value of OnCue’s food, with one reader sharing, “The food is restaurant quality food, but fast!” Pizza, fried pickles and chicken quesadillas were among the items readers mentioned most.

OnCue has 75 locations across Oklahoma and Texas, with its made-to-order food program, The Grill, available at dozens of locations. The Grill serves burgers, breakfast tacos, pizza and more. Customers can customize their orders through an in-store touchscreen system or online.

Reviewed also highlighted OnCue’s roller grill, bakery and coffee bar.

“My dad has always loved to quote the line from National Lampoon’s Vacation, ‘I’m so hungry I could eat a sandwich from a gas station,’ as a reminder of the perception our industry has had to overcome,” said Laura Aufleger, president of OnCue. “We’ve come a long way since those days. At OnCue, we’ve worked hard to prove that convenience store food can be high quality, affordable and genuinely delicious. Being voted the best gas station food in the country is especially meaningful because it shows just how much that perception has changed—and it’s a tremendous credit to our team members who make it happen every day.”

In other recent OnCue news, over the summer the retailer donated more than $101,000 in financial support and products to organizations serving families facing food insecurity across Oklahoma and Texas.

OnCue said the total contribution of $101,148 includes direct funding and merchandise donations. Each year, OnCue donates products that are no longer sold in stores as part of its regular inventory refresh. Instead of going to waste, those items are distributed through local partners to help meet everyday needs for families and individuals, OnCue said.

NACS serves the global convenience and fuel retailing industry by providing industry knowledge, connections and issues leadership to ensure the competitive viability of its members’ businesses.
