Oklahoma-based OnCue donated more than $101,000 in financial support and products to organizations serving families facing food insecurity across Oklahoma and Texas, the company said in a press release sent to NACS.

OnCue said the total contribution of $101,148 includes direct funding and merchandise donations. Each year, OnCue donates products that are no longer sold in stores as part of its regular inventory refresh. Instead of going to waste, those items are distributed through local partners to help meet everyday needs for families and individuals, OnCue said.

The retailer said several organizations across the region benefit from this year’s donation. The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the state’s largest hunger relief organization, received donations equivalent to 4,175 meals. The food bank serves hundreds of partner agencies and communities statewide.

In Stillwater, Oklahoma, Our Daily Bread received both financial support and product donations. The partnership is especially meaningful as OnCue continues to invest in the community where it was founded more than 60 years ago, it said.

“At OnCue, caring for our communities is part of who we are,” said Laura Aufleger, president of OnCue. “These contributions reflect our ongoing commitment to helping others and supporting families in the communities we serve.”

In other recent OnCue charitable news, last month the retailer partnered with Positive Tomorrows through its charitable cup program to support the organization’s work with children and families experiencing homelessness. As part of the partnership, OnCue team members volunteered at the school, spending time with students over lunch and afternoon recess.
