Chipotle Launches 2 LTOs at Once for the First Time

Chipotle announced its “first-ever simultaneous launch of two limited-time menu items, bringing back Pollo Asado with an all-new recipe and introducing Chili Lime Chips, a new side inspired by a viral fan food hack.”

The Pollo Asado has an all-new recipe featuring freshly grilled adobo chicken seasoned with garlic, Mexican spices and hand-cut cilantro, then is finished with citrus and real lime.

The Chili Lime Chips are based off customers using the brand’s packaged seasoned chips to put their own spin on Chipotle meals. “Some ditch their fork and scoop up every bite with chips, while others crush them over burrito bowls for extra crunch or turn their meal into a ‘walking taco’ by pouring their bowl directly into a chip bag. Since 2022, mentions of seasoned chips paired with Chipotle entrees have increased more than 1,500% across social platforms, while related TikTok and Instagram content has generated approximately 96 million engagements,” Chipotle said.

Over at Taco Bell, the chain announced a new Mountain Dew Baja Blast flavor in collaboration with singer Olivia Rodrigo: “You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast, the first-ever pink twist on the iconic drink.”

The QSR said the drink blends Mountain Dew Baja Blast's tropical lime flavor with pink lemonade notes. The drink debuted August 29 exclusively at Live Más Cafés and will be arriving at Taco Bell restaurants nationwide for a limited time on September 24.

Burger King unveiled its new Dragon Ball Super Power Up Pack in collaboration with Dragon Ball Super, which includes:

• 10-piece chicken nuggets with new Super Saiyan Sauce: “The new and improved crispy chicken nuggets, made with white-meat served alongside Super Saiyan Sauce—a sweet, savory and tangy teriyaki-style sauce inspired by the beloved Dragon Ball Super character.”
• Dragon Ball Burst Lemonade: “A refreshing mango peach Lemonade with juicy mango-flavored popping boba that brings the magic of the Dragon Balls to every sip.”
• Medium Fry: Classic French fries.
• Dragon Ball Super Figurine: “1 of 6 exclusive character figurines, including Goku, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta, Piccolo and Beerus.”

Meanwhile Zaxbys is rolling out its new LTO Nerds Strawberry Milkshake nationwide after testing it in select markets last year.
