Burger King Unveils New Chicken Nugget Recipe

Burger King is launching new chicken nuggets after listening to guest feedback in which consumers called the previous nuggets "rubbery", "dry" and "disappointing."

“To complement the new nuggets, Burger King took a fresh look at its dipping sauce lineup, refining fan favorites and introducing an all-new limited-time Special Savory Sauce. Together, the updated lineup was designed to deliver a better pairing with every bite:”

• New Special Savory Sauce: “A brand-new, limited-time dipping sauce combining creamy, tangy and lightly spicy flavors with hints of BBQ seasoning, ketchup, garlic, onion and black pepper.”
• Honey Mustard: “A richer, creamier take on our classic, made with mustard and honey for the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavor.”
• Buffalo: “A classic cayenne pepper sauce with buttery richness, savory garlic notes and just the right amount of heat.”
• Sweet & Sour: “A brighter, more balanced take on the classic, blending sweet pineapple flavor with tangy notes and a savory finish.”

Burger King is inviting guests to try the new nuggets and sauces and share their thoughts starting September 1.

At Taco Bell, the QSR teamed up with Tajín to create a limited-time lineup featuring the Tajín Taco, Tajín Cheesy Gordita Crunch and Tajín Pineapple Strawberry Freeze.

The full lineup includes:

• Tajín Taco: Features a crunchy shell seasoned with Tajín and loaded with seasoned beef, Spicy Ranch sauce, crisp lettuce, shredded cheese and mango salsa for $2.99. Each Tajín Taco comes with a Tajín Clásico Seasoning packet.
• Tajín Cheesy Gordita Crunch: A warm flatbread with a blend of mozzarella, pepperjack and cheddar cheeses wrapped around a Tajín-seasoned crunchy taco shell filled with seasoned beef, Spicy Ranch sauce, crisp lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese and mango salsa for $5.99. Served with a Tajín Clásico Seasoning packet.
• Tajín Pineapple Strawberry Freeze: Blends tropical pineapple flavor with strawberry-flavored syrup and Tajín for a frozen sip. The Tajín Pineapple Strawberry Freeze is available in 16 ounces for $3.99 and 20 ounces for $4.19.

The QSR also recently rolled out Taco Bell’s Decades menu with a 2016-inspired lineup: Naked Chicken Chalupa, Meximelt, Beefy Crunch Burrito and the Caramel Apple Empanada.

Meanwhile, Wendy’s brought back its Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger after consumers voted for its return earlier this year in a 'Bring it Back' bracket on social media. Joining the returning item is the all-new Apple Crumble Frosty Fusion.

The Pretzel Bacon Pub full lineup:

• Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger: Wendy's beef patty, beer cheese sauce, Applewood-smoked bacon, smoky honey mustard, crispy onions, pickles and a slice of muenster cheese on a pretzel bun.
• Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich: “As an expansion of the Pretzel Bacon Pub offerings, chicken-lovers can enjoy the same pub-quality flavor, with Wendy's classic chicken filet.”
• Bacon Pub Fries: Fries with beer cheese, shredded cheddar cheese and Applewood-smoked bacon crumbles.
