In recognition of Parkinson’s Awareness Month, RaceTrac is partnering with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for the 15th edition of its annual “Coffee for a Cause” fundraiser, a “centerpiece of the company’s longstanding commitment” to advancing Parkinson’s research, the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS.

Throughout April, RaceTrac guests can support Parkinson’s research at any RaceTrac location by adding $1 to their purchase or picking up a $2 candy bar at the register. During “Coffee for a Cause” week, April 12-18, RaceTrac will donate 100% of all coffee proceeds to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Since 2011 RaceTrac has raised more than $10 million to support the foundation’s research programs through ‘Coffee for a Cause’ week, in-store fundraisers and the annual Run for Research 5K, RaceTrac said.

“Reaching $10 million for Parkinson’s research is a milestone made possible by our guests, our team members and everyone who has stood with us in this fight,” said Melanie Isbill, chief brand officer at RaceTrac. “This cause is deeply personal for our RaceTrac family, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together. We’re more committed than ever to supporting the groundbreaking work at The Michael J. Fox Foundation and moving closer to a world without Parkinson’s.”

The late RaceTrac chairman emeritus Carl Bolch, Jr. and his father, company founder Carl Bolch, Sr., both lived with Parkinson’s.

RaceTrac’s annual Run for Research 5K will return to Truist Park on September 26 this year.

Earlier this week, RaceTrac announced it is continuing its partnership with the Atlanta Braves baseball team for the 2026 season. The retailer has partnered with the MLB team for over 10 years.
