Weigel’s Searches for Brand Ambassadors

As Tennessee-based Weigel’s continues to celebrate its 95th anniversary, the company announced that it is looking for “two energetic individuals to become its first official brand ambassadors, representing Weigel’s throughout East Tennessee and helping create memorable experiences wherever the community gathers.”

The retailer said the new positions are designed to strengthen Weigel’s connection with the people and neighborhoods it serves. “From grand openings and local festivals to school events, charitable initiatives and in-store celebrations, brand ambassadors will serve as the face of Weigel’s while bringing excitement, personality and community spirit to every appearance,” Weigel’s said.

The role will include creating engaging social media content, interacting with guests, distributing giveaways, supporting promotional events and stepping into Weigel’s mascot costumes.

Weigel’s is looking for candidates who are outgoing, creative, comfortable engaging with the public and excited to represent one of East Tennessee’s most recognized brands.

“For 95 years, our guests have welcomed Weigel’s into their communities, and this is another way for us to give that time and energy back,” said Nick Triantafellou, director of marketing & merchandising at Weigel’s. “These brand ambassadors will help us be more present where our guests live, work, and celebrate. Whether we’re at a local festival, a school event, a grand opening, or simply creating memorable moments in our stores, we want to build genuine relationships with the people who have made Weigel’s part of their everyday lives.”

The retailer is also running a summer campaign to celebrate its 95th anniversary. The summer campaign is “built around a simple idea: deliver consistent value while creating meaningful, everyday engagement for guests across East Tennessee,” the retailer said. “After nearly a century rooted in the region, Weigel’s enters this celebration with a clear message: Just Getting Started.”

Weigel’s said instead of focusing on one-time promotions, it has structured the summer around repeatable value through 95-cent dispensed beverage offers, fuel savings days, CPG discounts and bundled W Value Meals throughout the season.
