To celebrate the return of football season, Shake Shack is offering free chicken shack sandwiches for the next thirteen weeks on Sundays.

Shake Shack says that its chicken shack “is a sleeper in the chicken sandwich game,” complete with crispy, white-meat chicken breast over lettuce, pickles and buttermilk herb mayo on a toasted potato bun.

According to the press release, to help spread the word, Shake Shack is tapping familiar football faces, including former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, who posted on social media this past weekend, among others this NFL season.

Shake Shack is also hosting tailgating pop-ups in select cities this fall and launching OOH with billboards near football stadiums throughout September.

Customers must place a minimum $10 order to receive the deal.

Last month, Chick-fil-A announced that it is bringing back its limited time offering, the honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich. In addition, the QSR said that it is also introducing a spicy version of the sandwich for guests to enjoy.

The restaurant said that the honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich is “the brand's best-selling seasonal offering of all time,” and was also the brand's first-ever twist on the original Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich in 2023. The sandwich features a Chick-fil-A filet drizzled with honey, topped with pimento cheese and served on a warm, toasted bun with mild pickled jalapeños. This time around, guests can have the sandwich with the spicy chicken filet.
