Wawa Keeps 15-Cent Fuel Discount Going

With gas prices still at a record-high, convenience store retailers try to take the sting out of fueling up.

WAWA, Pa.—Wawa is extending its mobile app fuel discount of 15 cents per gallon through June 12, according to a news release. Members who use the Wawa app on their phone to activate a fuel pump and pay at any Wawa fuel store will receive the discount every time they fuel up during this period. More than a quarter-million Rewards members have taken advantage of the discount.

“We have seen hundreds of thousands of customers take advantage of this fuel discount and after receiving significant positive feedback, we are excited to extend this offer through June 12 to give our Wawa Rewards members the opportunity to save at the pump for another month,” said Dena Pizzutti, senior manager of personalization for Wawa.

The fuel discount is available to anyone who downloads the free Wawa app and joins Wawa Rewards. To date, close to half a million Wawa Rewards members have taken advantage of fuel feature in the Wawa mobile app.

Maverik—Adventure’s First Stop has updated its customer loyalty program, Nitro Card, with additional savings, including 10 cents or more off per gallon on fuel off the posted fuel price.

Huck’s Market, located in Carmi, Illinois, is offering 10 cents off each gallon of fuel for customers that are members of the Huck’s Bucks Bigg Rewards Loyalty Program.

At bp and Amoco stations, BPme Rewards members can save five cents per gallon during the first month of signing up for the program, and if customers spend $100 on fuel each calendar month, they can continue to save five cents per gallon. Bp also offers a price match program for 99 cents a month. The app will automatically scan for the prices of nearby gas stations within a two-mile radius, and if it finds a lower price, members receive more off the price of fuel, up to another five cents.

7-Eleven’s 7REWARDS app offers 11 cents off each gallon of gas for a customer’s first seven trips, and then they’ll receive three cents off a gallon after that.

At Circle K, loyalty members save 30 cents a gallon for the first 100 gallons, and then and then save 10 cents per gallon thereafter if they sign up for easy pay.

Sheetz offers three cents off a gallon of gas for having a My Sheetz Rewardz account. If customers combine their Sheetz Rewardz savings with a Sheetz Visa card, they can save up to eight cents per gallon.
