WAWA, PA.—Wawa has introduced Wawa Your Way, a foodservice program that includes five new menus for customers following specific food regimens, the company reported. The move opens up the chain’s offerings to those with a variety of specialized diets, feeding consumer demand for better-for-you items.
The menu offerings include:
Balanced Fare—A nourishing meal with less than 500 calories, including an egg white omelet sandwich on marble rye bread, a turkey bacon ranch salad or a chicken steak on wheat Shorti, chili, fruit cups, etc.
Gluten Conscious—Meals free of gluten include a scrambled egg breakfast bowl, Southwest chicken salad and a quinoa and roasted chicken bowl. Mashed potatoes, rice, black beans, an apple peanut butter snack cup and other sides are available.
Lower Sodium—To help keep sodium in check, customers can choose a cinnamon brown sugar oatmeal, a chicken salad garden salad, a junior beef steak hoagie, a tuna wrap, yogurt parfaits and apple snack packs.
Meatless—Meatless and vegan options range from a roasted vegetable breakfast bowl and a seasoned black bean and rice bowl with avocado, lettuce, fresh salsa, crispy jalapenos and chipotle sauce to a grilled cheese sourdough melt. Hot tomato bisque and broccoli cheddar soup are delicious add-ons.
Power—Packed with protein and lower in carbs, the offerings include an egg omelet breakfast bowl with turkey sausage and cheddar, an oven roasted turkey bowl, an Italian antipasto salad and grab-and-go snacks, including cheese sticks and hard-boiled eggs.
Lower Sugar Drinks—Coffee and specialty beverage drinkers have more choices than ever before, including an iced latte with almond milk.

The c-store chain recently launched an all-natural Angus burger at 920 locations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Washington, D.C.
