Casey’s New Cheesy Breadsticks

ANKENY, Iowa—Dad jokes can be cheesy. You know what else is cheesy? Casey’s new made-from-scratch cheesy breadsticks, now available across the convenience retailer’s 16-state footprint. In fact, Casey’s felt its breadsticks were so cheesy that it turned to actor, comedian and self-proclaimed “cheesy Dad” Joel McHale to spread the word.

“I’m thrilled to be working with Casey’s and their cheesy breadsticks because I love cheese and I love cheese,” said McHale in a press release, adding, “Also, I love cheese.”

During April and May, Casey’s is running a promotion on its cheesy breadsticks at $3.99 for an eight-stick order along with marinara or cheese dipping sauce. As the fifth-largest pizza chain in the country, the Casey’s team received specific training on dough preparation and the special recipe to deliver the perfect pairing to its pizza.

At caseys.com/cheesy, customers can check out original cheesy dad jokes from McHale and share their own social posts and memes with the hashtag #HereForCheesy.

“Casey’s is all about bringing more freshly prepared, delicious options with the same ‘wow’ that made our guests fall in love with our pizza,” said Michelle Wickham, vice president of prepared food at Casey’s. “With cheesy breadsticks, we’re adding more made-fresh-daily menu items that our guests expect from Casey’s. And trust us, they’re very cheesy.”
