Burger QSRs Fire Up BBQ Flavors for Summer

Burger King recently launched a collaboration with Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, with a limited-time menu.

Starting May the Fourth (May 4), the menu features:

• BBQ Bounty Whopper: "A flame-grilled [quarter pound] of 100% beef, served in a helmet-shaped carton inspired by the galaxy's most legendary bounty hunter. Loaded with melty Swiss, crispy pickle chips, bacon, lettuce, tomato and smothered in creamy Bounty BBQ sauce."

• Grogu's Blue Cookie Shake: "A hyperspace swirl of creamy soft serve blended with blue sugar cookie syrup and topped with Grogu's favorite snack—blue cookies."

• Grogu's Garlic Chicken Fries: "Crispy white meat Chicken Fries seasoned with parmesan and garlic, served in a Grogu-themed carton with garlic dipping sauce on the side to fuel your next adventure."

• Imperial Cheddar Ranch Tots: "Perfectly crispy tots stuffed with melty cheddar cheese, fluffy potatoes and ranch seasoning, served in an Imperial-themed carton."

Over at Shake Shack, the QSR is gearing up for summer with the return of its Smoky BBQ Menu.

The company also launched a new BBQ Boneless Baby Back Rib Sandwich, featuring baby back pork ribs that are deboned, slow cooked for nine hours and marinated in a proprietary BBQ spice blend with apple cider vinegar.

Returning menu items include:

• Smoky Classic BBQ Burger: "Angus beef topped with American cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, pickles, crispy onions and smoky BBQ sauce on a toasted potato bun."

• Smoky Classic BBQ Chicken Sandwich: "Crispy white-meat chicken topped with American cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, pickles, crispy onions and smoky BBQ sauce on a toasted potato bun."

• Spicy Fries with Ranch: "Crispy crinkle cut fries spiced with our own hot pepper blend of cayenne, garlic and paprika served with a side of Shack Ranch."

• Spicy Cheese Fries with Ranch: "Crispy crinkle cut fries topped with cheese sauce and spiced with a hot pepper blend of cayenne, garlic and paprika served with a side of our Shack Ranch."

Meanwhile at Checkers & Rally's, the QSR is introducing a new $3 Double Sandwich lineup. "With three bold options, guests get real variety and real value, with sandwiches starting at $3 or available as part of a small combo with fries and a drink starting at $6," the company said.

Options for the deal include:

• Sourdough Double Melt: "stacked with two 100% beef hamburger patties, American cheese, melted cheddar cheese, mayonnaise and seasoned grilled onions."

• Cheese Double: "Featuring more than a quarter pound of 100% beef with American cheese, diced red onion, dill pickles, ketchup and mustard."

• Double Spicy Chicken Sandwich: "Two crispy, all-white meat spicy chicken patties topped with American cheese, crisp iceberg lettuce and mayonnaise."
