Onvo Kicks Off Summer Sweepstakes
“The Great American Giveaway” celebrates America’s 250th birthday.

Onvo, a Pennsylvania-based retailer with 41 locations, has kicked off its summer sweepstakes, “The Great American Giveaway,” to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, according to a press release sent to NACS. The campaign celebrates classic American road trips, summer traditions and the communities that have shaped the country’s history, Onvo said.
The sweepstakes runs from Tuesday, May 19, through September 7. Onvo will give away prizes and rewards throughout the summer, including three grand prizes: an ATV, a weekend getaway at a Woodloch Legacy Resorts property and a Caribbean cruise.
To kick off the campaign, Onvo Rewards Members received 250 Hoots—the retailer’s loyalty currency—in their accounts on May 19. These rewards are redeemable for free snacks and treats at participating locations. Throughout the summer, customers can also access exclusive in-app giveaways and promotions, including tickets to sporting events including MLB games and NASCAR races, amusement park tickets, Onvo swag, and rotating Freebie Friday product drops. Onvo will also offer free roller grill items to customers who use the Onvo mobile app at participating locations on select Tuesdays during the campaign.
“Summer road trips are part of the American tradition, especially here in Pennsylvania, where so much of our nation’s history began,” said Harman Aulakh, vice president of marketing at Onvo. “Onvo is proud to be a Pennsylvania company, and that pride is at the heart of this campaign. From free snacks and activities to unforgettable prizes, we wanted to create something that adds a little extra fun to every stop along the way as travelers celebrate America’s 250th birthday.”
The campaign will also feature “family-friendly road trip experiences designed to celebrate travel across Pennsylvania.” Children under the age of 13 can pick up an Onvo Passport at all locations and collect stamps during visits to different Onvo travel plazas. After collecting stamps from three separate locations, children can redeem their completed passport for a free ice cream, while supplies last.
Onvo will also distribute a special coloring book, “Onvo the Owl’s Summer Road Trip,” highlighting historic destinations and landmarks across Pennsylvania.
Participants can enter the sweepstakes at any time until September 7 through the Onvo app.
