QSRs Release Kids-Movie-Themed Meals
Wendy’s teamed up with the Minions, while Subway will offer a Moana meal.

Wendy's is launching a collab with the Minions, inspired by the upcoming Minions & Monsters movie. Starting June 15, the limited-time Wendy's Minions & Monsters Meal will feature a Banana Frosty Swirl (a sweet banana cream sauce swirled into Wendy's vanilla Frosty base) and exclusive blind-box collectibles.
The QSR also launched two new Coca-Cola Freestyle beverages, inspired by the film's characters: Pineapple Minion MischieFizz and Goomi's Glimey Lime
The Wendy's Minions & Monsters adult meal includes:
- Choice of Big Bacon Classic or the new Spicy Chicken Sandwich
- Small fries
- Small Banana Frosty Swirl
- One of four Wendy's exclusive Minions & Monsters blind box collectibles
Wendy’s has also already rolled out its Minions & Monsters kids' meal:
- Choice of 2-piece chicken tenders, 4-piece chicken nuggets, a hamburger or cheeseburger
- Jr. fries or apple bites
- Kid's drink
- One of six exclusive Wendy's Minions & Monsters Kids' Meal toys: James, Henry, Ed, Richard, Goomi and Dort
Meanwhile over at Subway, starting June 11, Subway customers can upgrade any meal to a Moana Movie Meal Deal for $1 more and receive one of five collectible Moana cups featuring characters from the film, along with access to a $15 Fandango Promo Code to see Disney's live-action Moana.
“Fans will also be invited to voyage deeper into the world of Moana through a series of immersive digital and social experiences inspired by the film. The campaign will feature a co-branded destination, in-app takeovers, custom social storytelling and a music-driven digital experience inspired by the unforgettable rhythms and spirit of the islands, creating a connected soundtrack that guides fans throughout the journey,” Subway said.
At Chipotle Mexican Grill, the QSR is running its first-ever Matchday BOGO: on June 11, after 3 p.m. local time, fans wearing a soccer jersey to Chipotle restaurants can score a buy-one-get-one (BOGO) free entrée.
Plus, the chain is unveiling a limited-edition soccer jersey. The front of the jersey features "Real Chipotle," inspired by the use of the word "Real" in some of the sport's club names. The back of the jersey features the number 53, representing the number of Chipotle's ingredients.
Only 53 jerseys will be made available exclusively through the Chipotle Rewards Exchange for loyalty members in the U.S. Chipotle Rewards members can exchange 10 points for a chance to win a jersey from June 10 through June 24.
