It’s a Mountain Dew kind of summer at Kwik Trip.
The Midwest convenience retailer said in an Instagram post this week that its new Mountain Dew Dunker Donuts are now available in all of its 900-plus stores but “won’t be around forever.”
The Mountain Dew Kwik Climb pull tab game also returned at the start of the month and will run through August 16. On weekdays and Saturdays, the game features a $1,000 cash opportunity, with bigger prizes on Sundays. Kwik Trip’s website said that customers could win up to $250,000.
Customers can play by downloading the Kwik Rewards app and finding the game under the “more” tab, according to Kwik Trip’s website. They can pull one tab a day to try to win.
As for the green-hued donuts, Kwik Trip’s Director of Category Management Micah Rupprecht told USA Today that the Mountain Dew partnership allows the retailer to “push the boundaries of what a donut can be.”
“The creation of Mountain Dew Dunkers does exactly that. It’s fresh, fun and perfectly encompasses both brands,” Rupprecht said.
In May, Kwik Trip said it was adding new personalized loyalty challenges for customers through a partnership with AI technology company Eagle Eye.
Kwik Trip was also selected by the International Association for Food Protection for a Black Pearl Award for its efforts in food safety and quality through consumer programs, employee relations, educational activities, adherence to standards and support of the goals and objectives of IAFP.
