RaceTrac’s Beat the Freeze Sweepstakes Returns
For the fourth year, the retailer is offering a chance to race its mascot on the field at an Atlanta Braves game.

RaceTrac is bringing back its Beat the Freeze Sweepstakes for the fourth year in a row. The grand prize winner will win the chance to race The Freeze, RaceTrac’s “legendary speedster” mascot, at Truist Park during the Atlanta Braves home game on September 12, when the team plays the Philadelphia Phillies.
“This in-game race against a fan has become a game tradition, making RaceTrac’s The Freeze one of the most recognizable partnership characters in Major League Baseball,” RaceTrac said.
From August 5 through September 1, participants can enter by scanning the QR code on a life-sized, in-store display of The Freeze, at any RaceTrac store in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina or Mississippi and completing the entry form. Entries are also accepted online and entrants can earn additional entries by sharing the sweepstakes landing page link on Facebook or X.
In addition to racing The Freeze during the game, the winner will receive two tickets to attend the September 12 Atlanta Braves home game, paid parking, a The Freeze swag pack and a $1,000 gift card. Five first prize winners will be chosen to receive a $100 RaceTrac gas gift card.
In an email provided to RaceTrac, The Freeze offered the following challenge, “One lucky fan is about to get the race of their life. I’ve heard the talk. Now it’s time to see if anyone out there can actually beat me. Spoiler: they can’t. If you think you have what it takes, enter today, and I’ll see you at the finish line. Well... you’ll see me there first.”
In March, RaceTrac signed on to continue its partnership with the Atlanta Braves baseball team for the 2026 season. The retailer has partnered with the MLB team for over 10 years.
As part of the ongoing partnership, RaceTrac will also offer in-game activations throughout the season, including exclusive deals. When the Braves hit a home run during RaceTrac's Home Run Inning, RaceTrac Rewards members in the Atlanta area will get a free small Swirl World the next day.
