Beyoncé Inspires Popeyes Clothing Line

All sales of the Louisiana-style chicken restaurant’s clothing line will be donated to charity.

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Moving beyond foodservice, the restaurant chain Popeyes has debuted a new fashion line, reports Deseret News. The new clothing pieces were inspired by Beyoncé’s Ivy Park line, which some have noticed resembles the chain’s employee uniform.

With Beyoncé’s line quickly selling out after a partnership with Adidas, Popeyes released a hooded jacket, crewneck sweatshirt and hat. As such “fashion seekers who missed the boat the first time” now can join in again, says Popeyes. The clothing line’s sales will go to the company’s charity—the Popeyes Foundation.

In a press release, Popeyes stated, “The resemblance between both outfits is especially fitting considering the star behind the collection [Beyoncé] is a loyal Popeyes fan and even has a Popeyes-for-life card.”

The collection is selling out already. Popeyes isn’t the first fast food chain to debut a new clothing line. In December 2019, McDonald’s debuted its own set of seasonal wear available for loyal consumers.
