7-Eleven Malaysia Teams Up With Cashless Payment Provider

Promotion rewards shoppers who adopt Touch ’n Go eWallet.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia—The 7-Eleven stores in Malaysia have teamed up with Touch ’n Go eWallet to gives shoppers a fast, convenient cashless payment method, reports klgadgetguy.com. Touch ’n Go eWallet can now be used to purchase products at any 7-Eleven in Malaysia, as well as additional pins for the eWallet. Users simply let the cashier scan their codes to complete the transaction.

To get shoppers onboard with the new payment method, Touch ’n Go eWallet users will get a one-time RM7 ($1.68) cash back when they spend RM11 ($2.63) or above in a single transaction any time between Nov. 1 and 7. From Nov. 8 until year end, users who spend at least RM20 ($4.79) at one time will get RM4 ($0.96) cash back, but individual users will only receive cash back twice during campaign.

This week, Touch ’n Go also announced a partnership with Lazada, the No. 1 online shopping and selling destination in Southeast Asia.
