Educate Congress at NACS Day on the Hill
Event provides a forum for convenience retailers to bring industry issues directly to Congress.

WASHINGTON – Don’t miss your chance to educate members of Congress on the issues facing convenience and fuel retailers at the 2019 NACS Day on the Hill. This year, one of the big issues facing the industry is the recent crackdown on the sale of flavored electronic cigarettes by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
During Day on the Hill, the NACS legislative team will schedule meetings for retailers to share how the FDA’s announcement unfairly targets convenience stores. The FDA said it would limit the sale of flavored e-cigarettes to adult-only stores or stores with an adult-only section, which would essentially ban the products from most convenience stores.
The convenience store industry spends more money, time and effort than any other industry on compliance with laws including checking IDs and verifying the age of our customers. We work hard to be responsible retailers and should not be the scapegoat when underage teens easily acquire these products at vape stores, online or through individuals who are of legal age.
We need your voice to inform Congress that the FDA should not be allowed to pick winners and losers among private sector companies selling legal products. Join NACS at this year’s Day on the Hill to add your perspective to this important issue.
Formerly known as the Government Relations Conference, NACS Day on the Hill will be held on March 12-13. Register today!
