Pilot is celebrating Military Appreciation Month in May by continuing its work with the Miles of Good Foundation, an independent private foundation formed and funded by Pilot, and is also offering exclusive weekly deals throughout May for eligible service members at its travel centers.
In recognition of Military Appreciation Month, Miles of Good Foundation is donating $125,000 to Hire Heroes USA to help provide personalized employment assistance for service members and their spouses and help them transition to the civilian workforce.
Pilot said that since the Miles of Good Foundation was launched in 2026, it has contributed a total of nearly $400,000—in addition to the more than $4.4 million Pilot has given since 2020—to assist military members, veterans and their families through education, career development and community programs.
Pilot is also celebrating Military Appreciation Month with exclusive weekly offers in May for free food and drinks for eligible service members at participating travel centers. Once authenticated through ID.me in the Pilot app, verified service members will get access to the Military Appreciation Month weekly deals.
In other recent Pilot news, earlier this year, the retailer introduced its new proprietary food brand, Pilot eats, to its travel centers across North America.
Pilot eats Express focuses on grab-and-go foods like pizza, chicken wings and tenders and snackable sides.
