Reliance Oil Buys 6 Pennsylvania C-Stores

Plus, Terrible’s, Royal Farms, Family Express and more open new locations.

Reliance Oil has purchased six Shell-branded c-stores in Pennsylvania from SAC Inc., according to Terry Monroe, who provided merger and acquisition advisory services to SAC Inc. The transaction was only for the Shell-branded convenience stores and Shell wholesale portion of the businesses that SAC Inc. owns, Monroe said in a press release. Reliance Oil also has stores in New Jersey, North Carolina, Indiana and Florida.

Royal Farms will open its newest location in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 19, according to a press release from the company. Royal Farms plans to host a ticketed “Get Ready to ROFO” soft opening on January 14 and 15, inviting the community to preview the new store and experience its signature offerings, including a complimentary meal from the soft opening menu.

“Every new Baltimore store is a homecoming for us. We look forward to serving the Belair Road community 24/7 with fresh food and friendly service. Our goal is to be the reliable neighbor this neighborhood can count on, day or night,” said Martin Armood, district leader of Royal Farms.

In St. John, Indiana, Family Express opened its second Family Express Megastore. The new-to-industry location features an on-site car wash and pet wash, the company posted on LinkedIn.

Terrible’s announced on LinkedIn last week that it is opening two new stores, one in Winnemucca, Nevada, and one in Parowan, Utah.

Massachusetts-based Yatco opened a new location in Webster, Massachusetts, the company said on LinkedIn. It Is the company’s sixth location in 2025.

Other retailers including The Spinx Company, Fresh Stop and Wawa also closed out 2025 with new store openings.
