Seven & i Holdings, parent company to 7-Eleven Inc., has plans to remodel 7,000 of its c-stores in North America by 2030, the company said in a recent investor presentation.

Seven & i said its new standard stores “can serve the modern c-store customer” with a larger format and a more foodservice-centered approach .

The retailer highlighted its “targeted, new approach” to remodels, which emphasizes:

  • “Clean modernized stores signal to the customer that we have made an investment prior to entering the property.”
  • “Key interior improvements including our program rollouts customized for each store’s customer base.”
  • “Better customer experience through store simplification and optimization programs.”

The company said it is “betting big” on fresh food in 2026 by accelerating its hot foods, expanding the grill, reinventing the open-air case and becoming a flavor destination . It also highlighted its plans to invest in quality and innovation and improve food perception.

When it comes to the retailer’s restaurants, Raise the Roost and Laredo Taco Company, Seven & i said it is working on broadening menu appeal and boosting operations with an optimized value chain.

Looking to its private label, Seven & i noted its high growth categories include nuts/seeds, hydration, Hispanic items and protein. The company said its goal for 2030 is to hit approximately $2.6 billion in private label sales.

The company also said in the presentation that it is continuing its plans to open over 1,300 stores from 2025–2030. In 2025 alone, there were 122 new locations opened, according to the presentation.

Earlier this week, the company announced that its restaurants are now offering catering at all locations through ezCater, “making it easier than ever to bring made-to-order food to meetings, office lunches and events.”
