Popeyes is teaming up with YouTube series Hot Ones for a new menu collaboration. The Popeyes x Hot Ones menu will “bring a spicy twist to Popeyes iconic crispy, juicy, Louisiana-style chicken,” and make Popeyes the only wing brand to be spotlighted on the show, the QSR said.
The Popeyes x Hot Ones menu includes:
- Sizzlin' Sriracha Dippers (Mild): Pickled garlic sriracha-marinated Chicken Dippers, served with a Buttermilk Ranch dip cup and a fiery Hot Ones Sriracha sachet.
- Smokin' Rojo Sandwich (Medium): A chicken fillet topped with Hot Ones' Los Calientes Rojo spread and pickles on a toasted brioche bun.
- Darin' Dab Ghost Wings (Hot): Classic wings (bone-in or boneless) dusted with a bold Ghost Pepper dry rub, served with a Hot Ones Last Dab Ranch dip cup.
- The Last Dab (Extremely Hot): Hot Ones' spiciest sauce, served in a sachet for fans to add that infamous final "dab" to their favorite bite.
Over at Subway, the QSR has brought back its Fresh Fit menu. Fresh Fit sandwiches have 20 grams of protein or more, a full serving of vegetables and fewer than 500 calories in a six-inch, Subway said.
The menu includes:
- Ham & Turkey Stacker (20g protein): Turkey and Black Forest Ham, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and finished with yellow mustard.
- Grilled Chicken & Avocado (35g protein): Grilled chicken, smashed avocado, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and topped with Baja Chipotle sauce.
- Seasoned Steak & Avocado (35g protein): Steak, smashed avocado, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and red onions.
- Turkey & Ranch Delite (26g protein): Turkey, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, red onions and drizzled with Peppercorn Ranch.
Taco Bell also is revisiting the past with the return of the Decades Menu. “Taco Bell’s Decades Y2K Menu reintroduces the most-hyped items from the golden age of Y2K innovation, all for $3 or less. Fan-favorites like the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos, 7-Layer Burrito, Chili Cheese Burrito and Double Decker Taco are making their long-awaited return for a limited time,” the QSR said.
Chipotle also recently brought back a former menu item, carne asada, for a limited time. “Carne asada … is marinated, then seasoned on the grill with a signature spice blend including cumin, coriander, garlic and oregano and sliced into perfect tender, juicy bites. The protein is finished with fresh-squeezed lime and hand-chopped cilantro for a deeply rich, satisfying flavor. Carne Asada has 29 grams of protein per serving and is Whole30, Keto and Paleo friendly,” Chipotle said.
The protein was originally introduced in 2019, and this launch marks the fourth time it returns to Chipotle's menu.
