Retailers Expand Across the Midwest

Love’s, Maverik and more recently opened new locations in the Midwest.

Love's Travel Stops is expanding with the addition of a new travel stop in West Jefferson, Ohio along Interstate 70, according to a press release.

The travel stop is located at 540 Timmons Way between Love's Springfield and Groveport travel stops and is more than 13,500 square feet. This store includes a Love’s Fresh Kitchen concept with fresh food items such as sandwiches, salads and fresh fruit and a Hardee’s.

In honor of the grand opening, Love’s will donate $5,000 to Jefferson Local Schools and $5,000 to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. In addition, Love’s district managers will work with eligible nonprofits in their area to make donations through community grants on an annual basis.

Maverik posted on LinkedIn that it recently opened a new location in Lincoln, Nebraska. “Stop by to fuel up, grab your favorite snacks, and experience what makes Maverik Adventure’s First Stop. From fresh food and cold drinks to friendly faces—we’re here to serve the Lincoln community with energy, convenience and adventure,” the retailer said.

Huck’s Food and Fuel also recently posted on LinkedIn about a new store. “Thanks to everyone who came to hang out with us [June 12] at the Grand-Opening of our newest store in Charleston, Illinois! It sure was a party!” the retailer said in the post.

Wash N Go Express Car Wash celebrated its grand opening at 1921 High House Road, Cary, North Carolina, with a weekend of festivities from Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15. “The state-of-the-art facility has a full suite of fast, high-quality and eco-friendly car wash services,” the company said in a press release sent to NACS.

Last week, NACS Daily reported that Buc-ee’s officially opened its doors in Mississippi in Pass Christian, which is about an hour north of North Orleans. The 74,000-square-foot Mississippi travel center marks the 52nd Buc-ee's store.
