Texas-based Buc-ee’s continues expanding its U.S. footprint by bringing new stores to new states. We periodically update this page with new information about when and where Buc-ee’s is planning to open new stores, as well as grand openings.
Nebraska
Nebraska is slated to get its first Buc-ee’s location in Gretna, Mayor Mike Evans confirmed to local news outlet KETV. KETV reported that Gretna and Buc-ee's expect plans to be finalized in March 2026, with groundbreaking later this year.
According to the city, the site will be south of Interstate 80, near Highway 31 and Platteview Road.
Mississippi
In June 2025, Buc-ee's opened its first location in Mississippi. The 75,000 square-foot store in Harrison County “became one of the region’s largest private employers overnight,” according to local news station Fox 8. “We have 200+ employees with livable wages,” Buc-ee’s founder Arch “Beaver” Aplin told the news source, adding, “I hope and I believe this will be meaningful economically.”
North Carolina
North Carolina will get its first Buc-ee’s in the town of Mebane, which is slated to open in May 2027, according to local news outlet ABC 11. “Construction began in late 2025 at 1425 Trollingwood-Hawfields Road on I-40/85 exit 152. … By mid-2026, you can expect to see walls going up. It takes about 12 to 18 months to build a Buc-ee's travel center,” the outlet reported.
Virginia
Virginia’s first Buc-ee’s opened in July in 2025 in Mount Crawford, located on I-81. The store is 74,000 square feet and has 120 fueling positions. The state’s second Buc-ee’s, located in New Kent County, originally scheduled to open in 2027, has been delayed until 2031, reported local news source 12 On Your Side.
The Virginia Department of Transportation’s work at Exit 211 is not scheduled to begin until next year, and county leaders say the interchange improvements are expected to continue through 2029.
Ohio
A new Buc-ee’s store in Huber Heights, Ohio, is set to open in April 2026—a 74,000-square-foot store. Construction began in 2024. The grand opening is reportedly set for April 6 at 6 a.m., the city's mayor said in a post on Facebook.
Tennessee
In Tennessee, a new store in Murfreesboro will be the state's third Buc-ee's, located 34 miles outside of Nashville, according to The Tennessean. The 76,245-square-foot store will have 120 fueling positions, 490 parking spots and space for 15 RVs and buses.
A groundbreaking for the new location was held in October 2025.
Arizona
The first Buc-ee’s in Arizona is under construction in Goodyear and is expected to open in summer 2026.
Arkansas
Arkansas is awaiting its first Buc-ee’s, which will open in the town of Benton. The 75,000 square foot store will be located near the corner of I-30 and Highway 229. “Interstate 30 out of Little Rock, I think will be ideal,” Aplin said during a groundbreaking ceremony. “The location was beautiful. Benton had the hiring base. We need 200-250+ employees,” he added.
A groundbreaking for the site was held in April 2025, according to a local news outlet.
Georgia
In July 2025, Buc-ee’s expanded its store count to three locations in the state of Georgia with a new store in Brunswick.
Wisconsin
The city of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, will be home to the first Buc-ee’s store in the state, with a planned opening in early 2027.
