Dutch Bros Coffee recently opened its 1000th location in Orlando, Florida, according to a press release. “This opening means more than Dutch Bros’ being part of a new community, but an opportunity to reflect on more than 30 years of dedication to making a massive difference, one cup at a time. … With 1,000 shops and counting, our crews look forward to serving even more communities in the future,” the QSR said.
The coffee chain also released its financial results for the fourth quarter and for 2024.
The coffee chain opened 151 new shops across 18 states in 2024, 128 of which were company operated. Total revenue grew 32.6% to $1.28 billion compared to $965.8 million in 2023.
System same shop sales and transactions “increased 5.3% and transactions decreased 0.1% compared to 2023. Company-operated same shop sales and transactions increased 6.8% and 1.5%, respectively, compared to 2023,” the company said.
Christine Barone, chief executive officer and president of Dutch Bros, stated, “We delivered exceptional performance in the fourth quarter as we ended 2024 on a high note. In the quarter, we drove an impressive 35% revenue growth and system same shop sales growth of 6.9%. We believe our brand is resonating with customers, as we delivered 2.3% system same shop transaction growth, the largest year-over-year increase in over two years.”
Dutch Bros net income in 2024 was $66.5 million compared to $10.0 million in 2023. The company said its initial 2025 guidance includes total revenues between $1.555 billion and $1.575 billion; and the QSR estimates it will open at least 160 stores in 2025.
Last month, Dutch Bros Coffee unveiled new “cereal inspired drinks,” including the Cinnamon Swirl and Marshmallow Dream.
The Cinnamon Swirl “savors the flavor of cinnamon sugar cereal flavored milk complete with Soft Top and a dusting of crunchy cinnamon sugar cereal. This drink can be ordered as a latte, protein latte, freeze or chai latte.”
The Marshmallow Dream features “marshmallow cereal flavored milk topped with a dreamy layer of Soft Top and marshmallow charms. This treat can be ordered as a latte, protein latte or freeze.”
