Rich Products (Rich’s) is adding two “trend-forward” products to its Authentically Italian Portfolio: Gluten Free Cauliflower Pinsa and a Roman Style Pizza Dough Ball, Rich Products announced in a press release.

Rich’s Authentically Italian Portfolio was introduced earlier this year and “allows operators and retailers to satisfy consumer demand for Italian-inspired artisanal pizzas delivered in easy-to-execute formats,” Rich’s said.

Rich Products said that gluten-free pies are now found on 13.6% of pizza menus, from local pizzerias to quick-service and fast-food restaurants, catering to both gluten-intolerant and health-minded individuals (Technomic 2023).

“Our new Gluten Free Cauliflower Pinsa enables c-store operators to offer a plant-based, parbaked crust that’s easy to handle, which everyone can enjoy,” said Elizabeth Sommer, customer marketing manager, Rich Products. “These new options in the Rich’s Authentically Italian Portfolio help operators satisfy the growing number of consumers who are seeking artisanal Italian foods.”

The Gluten Free Cauliflower Pinsa is made using a blend of rice and buckwheat flour and cauliflower. It is “handcrafted by Rich’s using premium ingredients and a unique fermentation process, resulting in a soft, airy interior and a delightful crunch on the outside. Ideal for busy operators looking to elevate their menus, this 7.5-ounce parbaked Pinsa transitions effortlessly from freezer to oven to plate in just minutes,” the company said. Each case includes 24 Pinsas.

Rich’s new Roman Style Pizza Dough Balls are “uniquely formulated high-hydration dough is made with double zero ‘00’ style high-gluten flour. It is typically baked in a rectangular pan and cut into smaller squares or rectangles for serving, forming a delectable crust that’s crispy on the outside and soft, light and airy on the inside.”

The 23-ounce dough balls arrive pre-portioned and ready to thaw, proof, stretch, top and bake into Roman Style pies or other creations, including calzones, stromboli, breadsticks, sandwich carriers and more, said Rich’s. Each case includes 24 dough balls.

Last month, Rich’s launched parbaked French breadsticks, a “French-inspired creation [that] goes from freezer to oven to plate in a matter of minutes; simply bake it and serve it. Perfectly balanced with a soft, light texture, the versatile seven-inch breadstick is an ideal snack or meal component,” Rich Products said.
