In honor of Veterans Day today, all Wawa stores are offering veterans, active-duty service members, and their families a free hot coffee of any size. No military ID is required.

“It’s our annual tradition to salute service members on Veterans Day with a hot cup of coffee to thank them for everything they do to serve our communities,” said Chris Gheysens, Wawa CEO.

The retailer also partnered with the United Service Organizations (USO) of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey to create Operation Taste of Home care packages and sent more than 10,000 care packages to military currently deployed. The boxes were assembled by Wawa associates and members of the USO, Air National Guard, and Army National Guard.

In addition, The Wawa Foundation presented a check to the USO for $1,012,305.05 from funds raised through in-store coin and scan campaigns held at every Wawa store during the summer of 2024. The funds go to programs supporting the military and their families and are distributed to the local USO chapters located throughout Wawa’s operating area. Since 2012, The Wawa Foundation has raised over $13 million to support USO programs.

“Over the years, Wawa has also sent thousands of cups of coffee and care packages to our military overseas who have written to request it. Partnering with the USO to formally send care packages to deployed military members is just one of the many ways Wawa shows support and thanks for the great men and women who serve our country,” said Wawa.

Sheetz is offering free meals and car washes to active-duty military and veterans today. With military ID or proof of service, veterans can get a free half-sized turkey sub with a regular fountain drink at any Sheetz location with a free car wash, reported WXPI News.

Sheetz is also encouraging anyone not involved in the military to donate their loyalty points in the Sheetz app to the USO. Sheetz said 200 loyalty points are the equivalent of $1.

Pilot also donated $100,000 to Call of Duty Endowment to support veterans and is offering a free meal up to $12 to military service members and their families today. The retailer is also running a round-up campaign through the end of the month with proceeds going to Call of Duty Endowment.

TravelCenters of America is also honoring service members this Veterans Day with a complimentary meal at participating quick-service and full-service restaurants at TA, Petro, and TA Express locations nationwide.

Maverik and Kum & Go stores will also offer veterans a free coffee today. Stewart’s Shops is giving all customers a 99¢ single-scoop cone.
