Wawa is bringing its “Cheers to Classrooms” initiative to the mid-Atlantic, and the program will be available in all its mid-Atlantic stores from Monday, September 2 through Sunday, September 15. This includes stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Washington D.C.

The annual initiative allows teachers and school staff to get a free hot coffee or fountain drink. To receive the offer, teachers and school staff simply need to inform the associate at the register that they are a member of a local school system. The offer is valid in-store only, not on the Wawa App or delivery services.

“As everyday heroes of the classroom return back to school, we’re delighted to toast a new year by providing free coffee to teachers and school staff for the first two weeks of September,” said Dave Simonetti, senior director of store operations, Wawa. “We hope this small gesture shows our deep appreciation for everything educators and school staff do for children in the community.”

The retailer extended the offer to educators in its Alabama and Florida locations in August.

Wawa recently released a plethora of fall drinks to welcome the season. The lineup includes a number of hot, cold and frozen pumpkin drinks. Wawa also released a pumpkin bundt cake to join the autumn lineup.
