Kent Kwik added a new item to its hot breakfast menu: the Double Barrel Kolache. The kolache, inspired by the Czech pastry, is being tested at select Kent Kwik locations, including three stores in Midland, Texas, and one in Odessa, Texas.

The Double Barrel Kolache is filled with two savory breakfast sausages and is available in original and jalapeno varieties. According to Kent Kwik, the kolache is “packed with protein and flavor” to keep customers “full and fueled until lunchtime.”

Kent Kwik customers can find the Double Barrel Kolaches in the stores’ hot box.

Last month, Kent Kwik’s Rustic Cafe added a new green hatch chili burger to its menu for the summer. The burger features hatch green chilis, smokehouse bacon, pepper jack cheese and jalapeno ranch, which “provides the perfect level of heat, balanced by the creaminess of pepper jack cheese and the richness of smokehouse bacon,” the company said.

Rustic Cafe recommended that guests pair the new burger with its limited-time key lime shake, which is topped with a graham cracker crust crumble for “that perfect pie-inspired touch.”

In addition to its foodservice menu, Kent Kwik recently expanded its private label trail mix and nuts snack line, including three new trail mix combinations and three new flavored nuts.

Last fall, Kent Kwik introduced various flavors of trail mix, nuts and peanut butter-filled pretzels to its line of Kent Kwik snacks, as well as new Butter Toffee Puffs and Golden Caramel Nuggets.
